Re: Ajahn Jayasāro Cave Retreat

..as if the smart Venerables ever would listen to direct approach... Johann, you are very negative and have unskillful speech recently. Perhaps you should make a rule to never rebuke anyone until your own conduct is perfect? Wise! Also in regard of praise, good householder, to know and reflect the ...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

According to the Commentary, a novice who breaks any of the first five training rules has cut himself off from the Triple Refuge, from his preceptor, from his right to Community gains, and from his right to a lodging in a monastery. He is still a novice, though, and if he sees the error of his ways...

..as if the smart Venerables ever would listen to direct approach... Sitting in caves, living improper, and let server, serve... they are not aware of debts, goodness, duties at all. Bhantes Robes are merely form, and "meaningless", yes. But nevertheless Body and speech first trained in th...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

Take care of yours. Nobody required to worry about Samana Johann. But good if taking much care to possible soon come into dependency of the heritage, doing so requires yours deep respect, even toward a 7, 8 years old Ven.Samanera, not to speak about your patiently Ven. Theras, so that they aren't re...

Re: MA 101 and MA 102, the agama parallels for MN 19 and MN 20 are prime examples of B. Analayo's fraudulent translation

No problem at all, good householder, and Sadhu for care. Atma doesn't worry at all that those who could understand Dhamma are handicapped and others not further burdened in amassing "real". May he don't burn himself off here, times running, and not easy to develop especially mudita fully. ...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

They say "I generally just want to train to Arahantship and use knife"... " Stop now, fool! And try your best to go on. Otherwise, as they say, yes: "I mean these openings are disappearing and to me it already seems too late"... And no, there isn't a single engaged person he...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

Former and now, it's not so that going forth and full acceptance are one, good householder. I already said this itt so why are you telling me this? Former and now, there are cases where individuals neither need dependency or social security. Former and now, there are Steamuenter, Once-returner, and...

Re: Ajahn Jayasāro Cave Retreat

Greetings in Dhamma! I recall someone once told me that Ajahn Jayasāro had completed a year in complete solitude in a cave (someone bringing him the necessary requisites). He purportedly stated that, in retrospect, it would have been better for him to go on alms round at least. Can anybody direct m...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

I am not saying you are an outcast. I say you are making a mockery of the ordination procedures and are setting a terrible example. Good householder. Former and now, it's not so that going forth and full acceptance are one, good householder. Former and now, there are cases where individuals neither...

Lokuttaro is of course not something that's just something those having reached that erea, just dwell at formal sitting. It's popular under teaching householder or business-monks, traders of all kind and dwelling outwardly, to suggest such things. Buddha meditation is not only formal sitting. Those...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

I don't care about your situation Johann, i don't think there is any use in talking to you about this.. I think this is interesting only because you are setting an example for people who might think 'what's the use of formal acceptance, nissaya and higher ordination, i am so advanced inwardly, like...

Re: Samanera without dependence?

As far as i know there is no disrobing for a samanera. As i understand it, if a novice is much trouble the bhikkhu just sends him away. I think one without dependence is as if sent away, he can go about finding a new preceptor or do what he wants otherwise but he has no acceptance in the order. I d...

Re: A brief history of Buddhist internet forums

Greetings, Speak for yourself Then why your  earlier? I suspect the "speak for yourself" had more to do with your comment "It's not possible to build a life on Buddhism while there is uncertainty about such a central thing as whether you'd be accepted as a student or not."...
