How do i know if I have become only schizofren and not longer paranoid schizofren?
That is a question to ask your medical caregiver or therapist.
Schizofreni = streamenterer?
No.

Re: Apply Nibbana to other religions?

This is Krishna telling Arjuna to go war...this is the Bhagavad Gita that inspired the Nazis... I had the same concerns too. See this topic I made a couple of years ago at Dharma Paths: https://www.dharmapaths.com/viewtopic.php?t=2049 Luckily, there are no stories like this in the Suttas. The Sutta...

Re: What happends If I lose my mindfullness?

Unless you're an arahant, you lose your mindfulness hundreds or thousands of times per day (mind-moments). So . . . see for yourself. On a practical level, you might forget where you put your keys, your phone, etc. While driving, you could get in an accident, so usually we have much greater concentr...

Re: Buddha and Lame Lamb

Good story, but there is big typo in that story. It has Bimbisara's life dates as (558-491 BC) and then the Buddha's life dates as Gautama Buddha (480-400 BC).

That would make Buddha being born 11 years after Bimbasara's death, but in the story they are talking to each other.

Re: Buddha appear lagging behind Jesus & Mohammed

Two things. 1. both of those religions were spread largely by force. which the Buddha did not allow. Its not like all of south America is catholic because the spanish were so nice to the aztecs and incans that they decided to all convert. 2. Yes Buddhism can catch up to them. Buddhists just need to...

Re: An Opponents/Critics section?

I still think it's a good idea to have an Opponents/Critics section for the welfare and happiness of the world. What parts of the forum are not an Opponents/Critics section? I see people challenging Buddhist beliefs and concepts throughout the forum. Only Classical Theravada, Abhidhamma sub-forums ...

Re: Darwinism and the Dhamma

I am not sure if the view that evolution is about origins is a myth. One of Darwin's books is titled: On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life. Perhaps not the best choice of words by Darwin but still wouldn't change the ...

Re: Darwinism and the Dhamma

It is not uncommon for theistic clergy to believe in evolution and still remain loyal to their doctrines. At the end, one could argue that god allowed evolution to happen, and his interference is necessary for any action to manifest. I agree. Many theists do accept evolution, that it is either thei...

A presumption of ill-will makes an actual exchange impossible. I wonder if you reflect on your part in this sometimes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts anyway. Exactly. Yes, there are Theravada temples in Sarnath, but don't know the addresses. https://www.dhammawiki.com/images/7/78/Sarnath1.jpg Dhamek Stupa is the place where the Buddha delivered the First Sermon. It is a nice park like setting, good place to meditate. https://www.dhammawiki.com/index.php?title=Dha...

By Google Translate: Who will say you're crazy and don't care? Because of the power of Compassion is above everything. Too much to come Yom Kippur, he says so, he says so. So how does this For example, obvious facts like: 1. The world is round (sphere). 2. Biological evolution is a fact. 3. The sun produces heat (prior to its supernova). fit in with this: The Blessed One said, "What is the All? Simply the eye & forms, ear & sounds, nose & aromas, ton...

Re: Darwinism and the Dhamma

You could formulate anything in that manner, as being a matter of "accepting obvious facts" and many people's intuitive reaction will be to defy you. People generally resent to be patronized and to be treated as if they are imbeciles. I never said anyone is an imbecile, on the contrary, I...
