Re: Kindness and compassion

It's good for happiness, and being able to be more curious which helps your mindfulness practice if you are in pain it's good to bring curiosity to it mindfully and with a gentle compassion. The only emotions Buddha had were the 4 brahma viharas so I would say as a Buddhist their defenitely applicab...

Teach them the danger of gossip. Lying, no one will trust them. Putting yourself in other people's shoes. The bliss of charity.

Re: what are your thoughts on taking psychotropic medications for mood disorders?

I don't know what might prevent one from accessing this ability, I just know it's there. I find Gabor to be wise and true. https://youtu.be/GaWmzR_x3cM He usually means a different trauma -- a traumatic event in the past. Acute PTSD, like in veterans of the war, is almost always absolutely uncurabl...

Re: what are your thoughts on taking psychotropic medications for mood disorders?

Vigorous exercise and meditation because of their ability to relax the body can bring forth the cause of the symptoms I was somewhat convinced I was possessed by a Mara or yakkha until recently I understood it was childhood trauma PTSD. When the body can relax a lot the issue is in the tissue or you...

Re: What Ven.Ajahn Chah meant by "The Timeless Buddha"

He used words to shock people in a good way. He doesn't literally mean there was no Buddha he's emphasizing the true refuge. The true refuge is always here and now. Not 2,500 years ago.

Re: What Ven.Ajahn Chah meant by "The Timeless Buddha"

I think he's talking about resting in awareness Ajahn sumedho talks about this a lot. Being instead of doing he would often say something like if you can't go forwards or backwards and you can't stand still where do you go? like a koan. The Buddha is used here as a metaphor as knowing the present mo...

Re: I think negative alot.

The brahma viharas are good for quelling aversive thoughts and give a sense of non sensual pleasure so you won't be in as much pain.

Re: Superstitious or real?

Someone said sexual energy is the most powerful energy in the world you can't just wish that away. You can have sex in Buddhism with your girlfriend or your boyfriend. As long as it's alive and adult and not an animal/dead animal. Anyone want to help this guy instead of put more worry in him? From s...
