Re: Are we dead now?
for technicals, in abhidhamma In the present life the bhavaïga cittas take the maranàsannanimitta of the immediate past life as their object. As this object is not the new external object that appears in one of the sense doors in the present life that gives rise to a cognitive series of consciousnes...

Re: Arguments in favor of being able to hear in the first jhana
abhidhamma (argument against the op) ‘Samàpatti’ means ‘attainment’. A person, who has attained the råpàvacara jhàna, may enter the meditative absorption corresponding to that jhàna whenever he wishes. If he practices well, he may attain the ecstatic trance instantly and remain in the trance for one...

mahayana is fake & a force leading to the death of the dhamma No, Dhamma is pure, it is not affected by people who have attachment to religion or different ways of expression of the truth. https://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/sn/sn20/sn20.007.than.html https://accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/sn/sn...

Re: Eyes Open Or Closed During Practice?
one idea of eyes open and closed is that you can connect to psychic equivalent of sleep and wakefulness without sleeping or being awake. In short eyes themselves if they are open or closed doesn't mean a lot without knowing the pathways what they can be used to affect.

Re: when nimitta comes what we should do? see the nimitta?
So when your nimitta first appears, do not move your mind from the breath to the nimitta. If you do, you will find it disappears. That is my experience too. This is because the release of the focus on the breath is premature. You have to give full attention to the breath and allow nimitta to develo...

Re: when nimitta comes what we should do? see the nimitta?
This is from a very good Thai meditation master, Luang Por Pramotte Pomojjo: At first, we breathe all the way into the abdomen, but as we get more tranquil, the breath will get finer and shorter until it is just at the tip of the nostril. After that, the breath will become a sphere of light seen or...

Self vessel enters into head via eyes. When it enters the body, below the neck, then self knowledge will arise. something that is intended to deceive That what arises is within space and how it affects others is through space via radiation. When you look at the object you may get a sensory response...
