Sarath, do the five Aggregates cease at death for a puthujanna? Or do they carry on?

Only for the Arahat will consciousness cease.

Re: Hillside Hermitage

http://www.hillsidehermitage.org/ Ajahn nyanamoli thero has many audio talks and now some video that can be found at the website of hillside hermitage. Personally I've gained much from his teachings. Has anyone else found the dhamma he expounds to be refreshingly profound as the Buddha dhamma shoul...

Re: How Many Of You Experience Depression?

My honest opinion, from someone who has had depression and anxiety in the not so distant past, is that, in my experience it was absolutely essential that I started to take responsibility for my experience, in the sense of trying to understand it. By seeing it as pointless and an illusion, we may be ...

Re: Savatthi/Shravasti: need advice

I stayed there in October. Due to a mix up at the hotel I booked I ended up staying at the Korean monastery. I paid the guy there 500 RS (£5) to stay the night. No doubt you’d get it cheaper paying for a full month. They have a mediation hall there as well but I didn’t have time to check it out. The...

Re: on Sila - where do you practice "right speech" online?

It’s very difficult at times to see the intention of posters because we can’t really put a tone to our words online. That’s why a little of emoji use at times can show your intention when the post may seem harsh otherwise..

Re: Livelihood

I say take a good look through Digha Nikaya 2 and see if your livelihood is any of the wrong livelihoods listed. I don't know the answer to your question (only you know, I think), but you can use that sutta as your reference. Hi Salayatana, my job isn’t one of the wrong. Livelihoods, Thankyou for y...

Re: Livelihood

I have been reading, and I will also now explain the risks of the customers pets getting poisoned if they enter the loft or catch any poisoned vermin, and also the smell if the vermin die in their loft space. Also suggest other natural approaches to the customers. A combination of ultrasonic repell...

Thankyou Dharmacorps. I realise this now.

I know from going back to the properties to inspect the work after it has been done that they have always put poison down. Sure. Yo...
