Re: Challenging Ajaan Suchart's 'indestructible mind' thesis

Re: Did the Buddha make mistakes?

You may see problem, but I do not. You may see danger, but I see incredible insight and courage. Therefore, it is problem or not depends on how do we see it under our own view. A skillful swimmer can jump into a deep, open water to do some tricks and get praise. A bad, non-swimmer does the same and...

Re: Did the Buddha make mistakes?

According to the commentaries he knew that that would happen as it was their past kamma. That is not possible...

Yes, that does throw a new light on it. Much clearer! My rudimentary Pali stumbled over the frequent repetitions of vaddhati in the first bit, making it a real mess. I'll put this alongside the Pali and B.B.'s translation, and see how I get on! Much appreciated, s. :anjali: You are welcome . Glad i...

Re: Buddhist prayer.

Hi, I'm from Thailand. I want to start praying everyday, but since I wasn't born a buddhist, I don't know much about prayers. My question is, what are prayers that monks usually pray everyday, what time and how many times do they pray. Would be good if you give a link to prayers, because I want to ...

You have to calm down your mind and read carefully . You are over stressed .
Lol no readings here refer to when you are fully engaged in meditation .
