I've been on the forums for quite some time, decided to register to ask a few important questions and possibly join a few discussions. I am currently preparing to ordain.
Kind regards,
Introduction

Aflame with the fire of passion, the fire of aversion, the fire of delusion.
Aflame, with birth, aging & death, with sorrows, lamentations, pains, distresses, & despairs ......
Seeing thus, the disciple of the Noble One grows disenchanted. SN 35.28

Re: Introduction
Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

Re: Introduction
I've paid off all of my debts—as well as graduated and obtained a third college degree, and transitioned to a new career before that. I'm now fluent in the language of the country I will be ordaining in, of which I moved to and have been living in for a few years.
Almost there.

Wish you all the best. A monk's path is a difficult one, but it is the most excellent path leading to Nibbana.samseva wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 5:22 amI've paid off all of my debts—as well as graduated and obtained a third college degree, and transitioned to a new career before that.
