Hello from Thailand

Post by Luke_in_Thailand »

Hi Everybody.

My names Luke, I am a British Expat living in Northeast Thailand. I was raised a Catholic, have dabbled a bit in Quakerism since then but I have always felt a connection with the Eastern Religions, particularly Buddhism since reading the Dhammapada a few years ago. I enjoy reading religious texts from all faiths and listening to podcasts along the same lines.
Really looking forward to connecting and sharing with others on this forum.

Welcome!

Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Welcome!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Welcome to the forums!
