Hi there ,
My name is Tomás and I currently live in Barcelona, Spain. I have been practising the Dhamma for about 8-9 years and have gone through different Buddhist traditions, including different schools within Zen and Tibetan Buddhism. I am currently focused 100% on learning about the Thai Forest tradition, specifically the works of the Buddha, Ajahn Chah, Sona, Sumedho and Amaro, among others. I mainly follow Amaravati Monastery to get these teachings and Ajahn Sona's youtube channel.
I feel like a complete beginner and, despite having a consistent meditation practice and having taken the 3 refuges and 5 precepts, I do not form part of a physical Sangha at the moment (there are no communities within this tradition in Spain that I know of). I am here to learn about the Dhamma, with an open heart and an attentive ear and to meet new people.
Sending much metta to all of you forum people

Welcome

understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
