Namaste all,
I was registered here back in 2010 as Dhammachick but I have been unable to access that account. This one was registered in 2014 but I have been a very sporadic user. Over the years, I have danced around Buddhism and really knuckled down and became serious about it around five to six years ago. I was a regular on another online forum - until I wasn’t
I then took two years off online forums and turned my practise to just IRL and it was the best decision I could have made. I am now in a better position to participate in online discussions and maintain my practise (IMO) without losing sight of the bigger picture.
So hi

Re: Re-Introduction
Well the most humbling thing was that I didn’t know anywhere near as much as I thought I’d learned. I basically went back to the beginning and started over. I’m STILL learning. Focusing on the Four Noble Truths, The Eightfold Noble Path and studying as much as I can. I also did my Green Tara Empowerment three months ago and took Bodhisattva Vows which I found so moving and I take those vows extremely seriously.
I think the main thing I learned was that nothing is permanent and EVERYTHING CHANGES, even in the next minute or so. It doesn’t serve anyone to carry anger or emotions over into the next day because things will have changed.

Welcome back

one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

Welcome back!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
