Greetings,

Yes, posts in that section do.

And if there's no mod on deck at the time, there's no one to assess it.

Why others seems need not mod approval ?
I was thinking if mod could allow for direct access to post for convenient sake .
If there is some rationale behind this refusing direct post that is overly strain .
If admins or mods in the opinion would cause trouble , later can cancel my direct access .

Even mods need to get each post in the beginner section approved. However, as we are mods we can approve our own posts, it just takes a bit more time than usual.

So am i understanding correctly that with admins and mods as exception all other posters would need approval ? I think bhante Pesala is exempted , no ? I think if the worries is posting error teachings , i think even bhante Pesala himself capable of posting something in errors also .
That is somewhat a hassle to go through posting .
I remember sometimes ago Sarathw says senior poster (after couple years posting period) are given direct access .
Anyway , if it is so troublesome probably i would opt out from this section .

:thanks:

It is a hassle to edit posts to fix broken links or typos, and makes more work for the moderators.

I think it would make much less work to disapprove posts that do not follow the restricted forum’s guidelines.

Well , probably admins or mods integrity are in compromise if there held double standards approach in executing the posters access means . Or it just shows their learning are not reciprocal with the dhamma . I believes in a gentlemen of complete integrity .

No exceptions actually.
It would be an improvement if very knowlegeable posters like Venerable Pesala could get an exemption but I think the forum software doesn't have that option.

Actually I don't think any post should need mod approval.

So it's completely arbitrary?

No, exactly the opposite. All posts, regardless of who posts them, require moderator approval. The only arbitrary element is whether a mod is online and not busy with something else at the time.
