I don't intend using the dark maroon coloured "DW Chat" section but I can't close or get rid of it since I logged in - and it obscures half of my page. Could someone please change its location, or whatever?

Same here, especially on mobile. Also it's easy to misclick and then it blocks my comment field and then I have to refresh the page and risk losing my writing. I can't minimize it either, btw.

It is now called Trollbox. On click opens it up- one more click on the word Trollbox (or the same line) in upper left will minimize it.

Every now and then, I write something into it to see if anything will happen. This should be a study. What on earth are other people typing into it?

How to do smilies or emojis in Mac desktop?
Also, at present time 7:52 PST does not work at all. No Send box and hitting Return key does not work either.

I think the only way it can be done is by opening a word processor, clicking on "Show emoji and symbols" and then copying and pasting whichever you want to use.

To type emojis on Mac, type ^⌘Space (Ctrl-Cmd-Space) or go to the Edit menu and click "Emojis & Symbols".
