I am from a city in Northern California. About an hour from Sacramento and a couple miles away from San Francisco.

I think I mentioned it in my intro but if not, I am in southern California. The nearest center to me is Wat Metta (2.5 hour drive). I have yet to visit but look forward to doing so in June for at least the day.

I'm from Mexico, so I voted for the Central America option.

I see there are only 5 votes for that one, so there are not much Buddhists from this part of the world on the community.

I am in the UK which is currently part of Europe, but we might not be in a weeks time because there is a referendum about EU membership. If we stop being part of the EU we might end up being part of the US. :stirthepot:

Definitely worth a visit! I lived in Escondido for 8 months to mainly be close to Wat Metta (30min drive) while I was finishing some studies.

I'm originally from Nugegoda, Sri Lanka (suburbs of Colombo), born and raised there except for a couple of years where I started school in Perth, Australia. Used to go to BSWA in Nollamara with my family back then (Ajahn Brahm etc).

Then it was New York (upstate for college, city for work) from 2003-2015 => Escondido, California => Tysons, Virginia (30min from DC, for work).

Just moved to VA 4 months ago. Visited Bhavana Society in WV (1h 40min drive) once since I got here, plan to go there for Saturday sutta study sessions going forward.

In the tally-chart -- where's the U.K.?

Surely its not, never was really a part of Europe -- old joke, from way before the Brexit hullabaloo:

I'm from the UK... which is in Europe... and Brexiters can't do much about that, at least! :woohoo:
