Hello,
I have 3 goals - health, wealth and spiritual.
Should I focus on 1 goal at a time or 3 goals at a time.
I'm really confused here. Should I work on weight loss along with earning money along with meditation everyday or should I focus on just weight loss for a few months until achieved, then move to next goal.
Thanks very much.
Please guide me about goal setting.
Re: Please guide me about goal setting.
In my opinion, health, wealth, and spirituality go together.
This is why so many rich people commit suicide or sick.
But rich people who got a balanced life live longer with a happy life.

Hi there, you've asked the same question in two other threads. What are you missing or not getting from the replies there?
Re: Please guide me about goal setting.
I'm sorry, I won't ask again. @Mod, Please close this thread.Dhamma Chameleon wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 9:30 am Hi there, you've asked the same question in two other threads. What are you missing or not getting from the replies there?

It is OK to ask the same question again.Dhamma Chameleon wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 9:30 am Hi there, you've asked the same question in two other threads. What are you missing or not getting from the replies there?
I some times ask the same question many times because the answers do not sink in.
Another thing is we do not study form ansers so we forget quickley.
However your question is valid.

It is good to ask again, but also to be more specific given that the last two attempts did not yield the hoped for information.SarathW wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 9:38 amIt is OK to ask the same question again.Dhamma Chameleon wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 9:30 am Hi there, you've asked the same question in two other threads. The question itself is not easy to answer. The teachings allow for different interpretations:SarathW wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 9:40 amNo need. David got lot of bandwidth. On the one hand we have:
The above implies that desiring worldly success by just means is in accordance with the practice. He is indeed virtuous, wise, and righteous who neither for his own sake nor for the sake of another (does any wrong), who does not crave for sons, wealth, or kingdom, and does not desire success by unjust means.
We also have:
But the above is directed to monastics. One is the quest for worldly gain, and quite another is the path to Nibbana. Clearly understanding this, let not the monk, the disciple of the Buddha, be carried away by worldly acclaim, but develop detachment instead.
And the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus, saying: "Behold now, bhikkhus, I exhort you: All compounded things are subject to vanish. Strive with earnestness!"
This was the last word of the Tathagata.

Spiritual insight might uproot conduct that ruins health. On that basis there might arise contentment and happiness with life as it is which might support pleasure in work which is the prerequisite for accumulation of wealth.JC938 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 7:18 am Hello,

The second link I actually asked a different question, so in total, I have ask this question 2 times because I did not get the answer in the previous thread.

I know some spiritual lay people but they are not successful in their wealth creation. It is important for a lay person to create wealth via right livelyhood.
Some people are very health but they are not wealthy or spiritual. Without the wealth and the spirituality you can't maintain your health in long run.
