Question on Buddha enlightenment process

Post by form »

Did he attain arahat status within a single sitting? Or was he a non returner already before the night if his enlightenment?

In my opinion, Buddha did not go through the stages of Sotapanna, Sakdhagami, and Arahant stages.
These categories created later.
Did Einstien discover E=mc2 in stages?

There might be discussion on this existing but I have not directly seen those before. Just my thoughts because of the metaphor of intense sexual thoughts by the Mara three daughters may suggest intense sensual thoughts and impulses.

And that equation is the reason we have a theoretical understanding of atomic weapons.

Some may argue that without this discovery the road to atomic weapons might not have been paved.

Why are we comparing Einstein to Gautama? 🧐

Instant full awakening for him.

The temptation from Mara daughters and the offer to rule the world from Mara are not easy to resist.

Indeed, but he did it. The Matrix recreated the process of awakening, battling the armies of Mara and then breaking the dark clouds of defilements until the already existing unconditioned reality is revealed, before having to come back to the conditioned:

That merely means that his mental body cognised Nibbana and was filled with it.

Really? I was thinking he already mastered the eight emancipations before the enlightenment night?

No. The 8th he did not know before.

There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.
