warrior caste ( kshatriya kula) and with poverty having an ambition of greed to be a king is a reason for one's downfall.
This persons birth of poverty and warrior caste is due to his own kamma. Without reason of wholesome kamma to be a king one cannot accrue kamma through greed.
( also see cula kamma vibangha sutta that good kamma is a main reason to be of noble birth in a royal family).
