There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

Do you mean can one person share 10 wives? I guess if they all agree this is possible,
I mean all parties concerned. What is VA and VvA? It is hard to figure out what exactly you are asking.
Is that a Theravada document? Does it write of 10 kinds of husbands too?
I am curious, it would be fun to read of the 10 kinds of husbands.

Sorry just noticed that Sabbe_Dhamma_Anatta answered. Thank you, can you find a listing on 10 kinds of husbands pl. under
5. The training rule on matchmaking
If one is not available maybe we can come up with one, like this, not deviating too much.
There are ten kinds of husbands:
the bought husband,
the husband by choice,
the husband through property,
the husband through clothes,
the husband through the bowl-of-water ritual,

the captured husband,
the momentary husband.

PS I do not understand what momentary wife means? can SDA pl. explain?

I believe VA is the commentary to the Vinaya, (Vinaya Aṭṭhakathā) , called Samanta Pāsādikā.

VvA would be the commentary to the Vimāna Vatthu. (I believe this work exists in English translation, published by PTS).

(the 'A' stands for aṭṭhakathā, which means 'commentary' in Pāli)

Reading what Sabbe_Dhamma_Anatta wrote, more carefully
The chapter on offenses entailing suspension
5. The training rule on matchmaking
Does that mean monks who engage in match making get suspended? I've read in a sutta that monks should not engage in astrology, not quite sure weather that list included match making.
It does not make sense to me, that monks would engage in match making. Would it not distract them from
meditation?

the momentary wife sounds the best
Sort of individual is experienced in the here & now, and for the most part barely appears for a moment.

What's samenleven?

Also, given that the 3rd precept doesn't prohibit sexual relations between husband and wives, and presumably, we cannot assume all such sex for some category of wives is non-consensual, what basis do you have to so arbitrary make certain wives breaking 3rd precepts? And why don't you put that label onto slave wives?

In Islam, there's such a thing as temporary marriage, which can last for very short periods to 99 years. If a two people wants to have sex, but not start a family, they can get just get such temporary marriage so that there's no premarital sex issue.

In Buddhism, there's no issue with premarital sex, but responsibly, ideally, it's better with a relationship established rather than casual sex. There's of course the usual risk of STD, unwanted pregnancy, etc. And to avoid breaking 3rd precepts, ideally both sides are not married/ attached, or have consent of their partners if they are.

No label = Not violate

Samenleven = Cohabitation = breaking the third precept

temporary marriage come from non-sunni.
Sunni like original Islam, same with Theravādå,
An original.

temporary marriage = haram (in Sunni)
