I understand where you're coming from, but the Buddha's dedication to saving living beings is immense, and greatly surpasses that of an ordinary Bodhisattva, and I'm sure you know the Bodhisattva vow.cappuccino wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 4:26 amNot among us.Mahabrahma wrote:But still among us.cappuccino wrote: Buddha is forever gone.

It's a practical Teaching and you are a True Teacher of the Dhamma. Once someone is saved while still in this world however, it is always their will to save others. Such is always the Metta of the Buddhas, despite however or whenever they decide to enter Parinirvana [whether they decide it to be in a short or immensely long time].cappuccino wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 4:33 amWe must save ourselves.Mahabrahma wrote:I understand where you're coming from, but the Buddhas dedication to saving living beings is immensecappuccino wrote: Not among us.

Most people I run into who are Enlightened hold the philosophy that they're still sinners or imperfect, to maintain humility and to save others. But there is such nature of which you speak in many as well.cappuccino wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 4:56 amEveryone thinks they're saved and enlightened.Mahabrahma wrote: Once we are saved, however, the flames cool, and there is work to be done.

Yet it is the religion which in it's Scriptures tends to describe the most wonderous marvels of the ancient and Transcendental world, including the amazing things the Tathagata can do, as well as those Arhats and Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Brahma Kings who are His Disciples. With proper grounding the amazingness of this world can be truly understood and seen, and Buddhism fully has that. That is what is meant by being truly grounded.cappuccino wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 5:11 amBe realistic.Mahabrahma wrote: You know how to fly too.

By grounded I mean to say, we must come to terms with reality.
As it really is, not a Buddhist fantasy.
