Chinese saying.Good that seeks to be seen is not true good.
Evil that is concealed is great evil.
Good and evil have no fixed form. It's as easy to turn from doing bad to doing good as it is to flip over the hand from the back to the palm. It's simply up to us to do it. Master Hsuan Hua.

Proclus, Elements 8That which is primarily good, and which is no other than The Good itself, is superior to all things which in any way whatever participate of good.

Bodhisattva Nagarjuna, Friendly Letter.Minds of kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity,
Are to be cultivated constantly throughout the day and night.
Even if one has not yet succeeded in transcending the world,
One’s merit will become superior even to that of the God Brahmā.

Blavatsky, Key to TheosophyUniversal Unity and Causation; Human Solidarity; the Law of Karma; Re-incarnation. These are the four links of the golden chain which should bind humanity into one family, one universal Brotherhood. If the action of one reacts on the lives of all, and this is the true scientific idea, then it is only by all men becoming brothers and all women sisters, and by all practising in their daily lives true brotherhood and true sisterhood, that the real human solidarity, which lies at the root of the elevation of the race, can ever be attained. It is this action and interaction, this true brotherhood and sisterhood, in which each shall live for all and all for each, which is one of the fundamental Theosophical principles that every Theosophist should be bound, not only to teach, but to carry out in his or her individual life.

This is the destruction of "true theosophy" by Blablahblahtsky because it turns it into mere be-nice-ism rather than a renunciatory path to liberation.Nicholas Weeks wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 9:32 pmBlavatsky, Key to TheosophyUniversal Unity and Causation; Human Solidarity; the Law of Karma; Re-incarnation. One swallow does not make a Spring, so one quote does not destroy 'true theosophy' - whatever that means to you.johnsmitty wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 12:16 am

The Dhamma for most lay Buddhists (and virtually every spiritual path) is a 'renunciatory path' of vices and be-nasty-ism and Yes, 'mere be-nice-ism'; not liberation.
Sounds good to me.

Truth is so obscure in these times, and falsehood so established, that unless we love the truth, we cannot know it.
