Woo! Haiku Kungfu
Style derived from nature
Old man watches stream
Nature Seems to Flow
Far as Observation Goes
Stuff grasped slips away
Time shall surely show
Ownership Illusory
Thus the wise renounce

Re: haiku
The wise who know all
Sages adhering to naught
Cross over sorrow
—-
Sail away from woe
And Beyond all horizons
To the furthest Shore
—-
Beyond all this here
A mysterious promise
Let us go explore
—-
Day-dreaming buddhist
Imagining Nirvana
Drifts further from it
—-
Bored stuck in this room
The mind races recklessly
Time to meditate

Re: haiku
looking for you
in unlikely places you raise
your head piercing cloud
copper tones
japanese maple repainted
colorful surprise
silence speaks truth best;
sometimes;
words get in the way
black pines stand tall
feet on earth
reaching for sky

古い池や
蛙飛び込む
水の音
Translated here as in book:
By the old pond
The sound of frog
Entering the water.
The above Japanese haiku by a famous Japanese poet named Munefusa Matsuo (he called himself Basho- which means Banana, a friend gave him a banana tree which he grew in his garden he like the banana tree so much he decided to called himself "Basho".芭蕉
If you have experienced living in countryside in the early quiet morning heard frogs leaping into water making that "prob" sound this poem will bring to life the beauty of its expression.

When did I become the instigator of this thread? This used to be Capuccino's thread. I didn't start this thread. Even slight transparency would be nice. I know who's fault this is. Carole Retrofuturist Baskin strikes again.
What is the Uncreated?
Sublime & free, what is that obscured Eternity?
It is the Undying, the Bright, the Isle.
It is an Ocean, a Secret: Reality.
Both life and oblivion, it is Nirvāṇa.
