For God's sake man this is a cult.

It is a doomsday cult. And they talk to the founder (who died I guess a century back) through a medium. It is the Indian equivalent of Scientology.

Please as a Westerner do not make the error that all who deal in the Dharma are fine human beings.

There are plenty of charlatans and plenty of plain weirdos.

There are very few "real" organisations anymore that belong to Hinduism. The only one in your part of the world is Vedanta Society of New York.
