Re: She died, went to heaven
There are three serious wrong-views, as expounded in the Titthāyantādi Suttaṃ
- The wrong-view of fatalism (pubbakatahetu-diṭṭhi).
- The wrong-view of creationism (issaranimmānahetu-diṭṭhi).
- The wrong-view of nihilism (akiriyahetu-diṭṭhi).

Wonderful sutta!Bhikkhu Pesala wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 1:31 pm There are three serious wrong-views, as expounded in the Titthāyantādi Suttaṃ
She clearly holds the second of these three wrong-views.
- The wrong-view of fatalism (pubbakatahetu-diṭṭhi).
- The wrong-view of creationism (issaranimmānahetu-diṭṭhi).
- The wrong-view of nihilism (akiriyahetu-diṭṭhi).

Re: She died, went to heaven
that's not creationismThere are monks, some recluses and priests who say this and hold this view: Whatever a person experiences, whether pleasant, painful, or neutral, all of that is created by God

The Buddha gave explanation why Creationism is wrong view, misleading, and unprofitable. Any explanation from you to claim the contrary?

Re: She died, went to heaven
So....are you saying originally the Buddha endorsed Theism? Just Pali Tipitaka distorted His Teachings?
Be it
OrThere are monks, some recluses and priests who say this and hold this view: Whatever a person experiences, whether pleasant, painful, or neutral, all of that is created by God
Which one do you think is Buddha's teaching?Thereupon the being who re-arose there first thinks to himself: 'I am Brahmā, the Great Brahmā, the Vanquisher, the Unvanquished, the Universal Seer, the Wielder of Power, the Lord, the Maker and Creator, the Supreme Being, the Ordainer, the Almighty, the Father of all that are and are to be. And these beings have been created by me. What is the reason? Because first I made the wish: "Oh, that other beings might come to this place!" And after I made this resolution, now these beings have come.'

Re: She died, went to heaven
I think Buddhists under estimate God
the cosmological significance is great
perhaps this means we under estimate Buddha

Okay. Welcome to Buddhism.cappuccino wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 3:26 pmI think Buddhists under estimate God

How you envision God? From which tradition? Jewish? Christianity or Islam? Hindu maybe?
I've read NIV Bible, Bhagavad Gita and some parts of Al-Quran, haven't read Talmud though.

did you watch the video?
Re: She died, went to heaven
I was asking about your statement about God and Creationism, since you said Buddhism maybe has wrong view and Buddhists underestimated God.

Re: She died, went to heaven
well God is a stumbling block for many
at least for Buddhists if not Buddha
Re: She died, went to heaven
Okay, are you saying Buddha failed to understand the nature of God?cappuccino wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 3:57 pmwell God is a stumbling block for many

Stumbling block as in term of gaining wisdom?
