Aesop's Fables

Post by Nicholas Weeks »

Over 2500 years ago this Greek Sage's collection of stories for children of all ages has told us how to be good and not bad. There are many collections in book form and several websites also.

Here is sample short one...

Good and evil have no fixed form. It's as easy to turn from doing bad to doing good as it is to flip over the hand from the back to the palm. It's simply up to us to do it. Master Hsuan Hua.

Greetings Nicholas,

Do their notions of good and bad correlate with Buddhist notions of good and bad?

Metta,
Paul. :)

Not surprisingly, similar tales are found in many ancient cultures, India included. Notable among them are the Buddhist Jataka Tales and the Hindu Panchatantra.
