Buddha and God
Re: Buddha and God
I am of the opinion that it can be proven that there is no God.
Re: Buddha and God
The Hebrew translated as “God” in Psalm 14 is “elohim”, which is actually the plural of the singular “eloah”. So, another way to translate Psalm 14:1 is “The fool says in his heart that there are no deities.”cappuccino wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 2:07 pmPsalm 14 wrote:The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
In addition, an “eloah” is not necessarily all-powerful or all-knowing.

Thanks!
Are you saying that the view that there is no God is wrong view and will lead to suffering? In my humble opinion David Silverman proved there is no God in an interview with a story.

Re: Buddha and God
I prayed to Christ and Buddha that my sisters would recover from cancer. Things are looking up for them as of now. Maybe my prayer was answered.

Re: Buddha and God
I just google Kali Yuga. It is an age we live in? Could you expand on that also? According to some suttas (not sure if they are genuine or not) they talk of Dharma Ending Age.
Is Kali Yuga a Hindu thing?

Re: Buddha and God
Should my prayers be directed towards a being? Who should I pray to? How should I pray?
