Depending on context, dukkha is often translated as "pain".

My guess was "vedana"
Perhaps pain means acute unpleasant feeling (vedana)
The problem is when you go to hospitals doctors ask you to score your pain from 0 to 10.
So perhaps doctors understand the pain in the sense of Vedana in Buddhism (ie pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral)

It would be vedanā, but only if qualified by an adjective like "unpleasant", etc.
