Simply use Sutta Central search function on the internet.
There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

There is the Pali Text Society's Pali English Dictionary, which can be searched here:

There are also pdf copies of it available somewhere online.

But by far the best is Margaret Cone's dictionary. Three volumes have so far been published, which will take you up to the letter bha.

In whatever way they conceive it,
It turns out otherwise.

The Critical Pali Dictionary isn't complete, but it's useful for the words it does cover.

I usually use the Concise (A.P. Budhadatta Mahathera) and the "The Student's" (Maung Tin) Pali-English Dictionary. They are small and easy to use.

And I have the Childers and the Margaret Cone dictionaries as a reference if further lookup needed.

Also the "Dictionary of Pali Proper Names" (G.P. Malalasekera) may be useful to look up names, places, etc.
