How well does a distinctively Northern Thai pronunciation of Pali survive? What I would expect is a tonal language with two phonemic tones (with perhaps some other, marginal tones), with <g d ḍ b> at the starts of syllables being voiceless stops while <ɡh dh ḍh bh> were voiceless aspirate stops. However, it is also possible that it has simply been overwhelmed by the Banɡkok pronunciation.
