Why only lion not tiger
In the suttas the metaphors of Lion's Roar that Buddha refer to himself, representing himself as the lion when acclaim his attaintment and enlightenment and to describe his proclamation of the Dhamma , why not chose other wild beast such as tiger ?

because in Indian culture lion means leader or highest

A quick google search gives an estimate of tigers being present in India from between 12,000 to 16,500 years.

Lions are pack animals. Tigers are solitary. A lion's roar is to announce his presence and authority to everyone around which designates his distinction above others, so that they may follow him and learn from him. When a monk is solitary, he doesn't need to roar.
