Text For Itipiso 108 Chant?

Post by Red Belly »

I've been thinking about adding chant to my practice for some time and am not sure where to begin. On Youtube I found a chant called Itipiso 108 that sounds simple enough for me to learn and yet my internet searching hasn't turned up any transliterated text. So, not really knowing anything about this subject I ask:

1.) Would this be an appropriate chant to try on my own?
2.) If so, where can I find what they are chanting in western characters (with translation)?

Many thanks for any help!

Sure, why not?

Itipiso 108 just means you repeatedly recite Buddhaguna for 108 times. Here is the text:
Itipi so bhagavā arahaṁ sammāsambuddho vijjācaraṇasampanno sugato lokavidū anuttaro purisadammasārathi satthā devamanussānaṁ buddho bhagavā ti.
I think in the video, the monks added other scriptures such as Jayamangala Atthagatha.

devadhammāti vuccare.
