question about wrong view
how would you know if you have wrong view?
"Whatever treasure in this world or in other any worlds, whatever precious jewel there is in the heavens, none is equal to the Buddha. In the Buddha is this precious jewel. By there truth, may there be wellbeing."

Re: question about wrong view
It is the opposite of Right View.
If you become familiar with Right View, you will have a sense of "wrong."
This link is to a fairly famous essay on the Eightfold Path by Bhikkhu Bodhi (Chapter of Right View).

Those who grasp at perceptions & views wander the internet creating friction. [based on Sn4:9,v.847]

Re: question about wrong view
Wrong views can be divided into two categories as I remember.
I remember if one thinks that: there is no significance in giving, offering, sacrificing; there is no Kammavipaka from what is done here, there is no mother, no father, no this world, no next world, no spontaneous birth, there is no recluse or Brahmins have direct knowledge that can proclaim this and next world.
Then it is called mundane wrong view.
But if one don't not know or thinks there is no:
1) Dukkha ariyasacca
2) Dukkhasamudaya ariyasacca
3) Dukkhanirodha ariyasacca
4) Dukkhanirodhagamini patipada ariyasacca
Then it is also a wrong view.
So for myself, I will keep reminding myself both criteria and keep on practice...

Re: question about wrong view
If you are just starting out, and haven't read or understood much dhamma, you probably have wrong view. That's one way to know. The way of the world is wrong view as a default operating system.
Re: question about wrong view
When one has right view & lives in accord with right view, one knows it by its fruit=for example, upekkha, usually translated as equanimity, a harmonious or balanced state.
If you are searching for it, it is readily found in Buddhist scriptures. The Buddha spoke a lot about it, often by laying it alongside of right view.
Re: question about wrong view
One way to start would be to see if you have any of the wrong views listed in DN1. Also search for what is classed as wrong view and right view. SuttaCentral is quite helpful: https://suttacentral.net/

“Knowing that this body is just like foam,
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

Vipallāsa Sutta (AN 4.49) wrote: Perceiving constancy in the inconstant,
pleasure in the stressful,
self in what’s not-self,
attractiveness in the unattractive,
beings, destroyed by wrong-view, go mad, out of their minds.
Re: question about wrong view
the Pali is "para loka", which means "other world"...
There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

Re: question about wrong view
Right View is not about Righ Knowledge or Right Information/Conceptualisation.
Right View is about Right Perspective on khandhas, is about how we see things, is wisdom quality.
If we see khandhas as me, mine, myself - we have à wrong View.

Re: question about wrong view
I suppose that "wrong view" is the contrary of "right view".

Any personal definition other than that, would be quite dubious.

In this world, there are many people acting and yearning for the Mara's world; some for the Brahma's world; and very few for the Unborn.
