Yes, I think I know. It's in Mandalay, if that's the one.

Actually, I planned to put it here but there is no 'photograph on the google map" of the monastery (or) 2-3 storeyed building on which the pagoda is situated.

Here's the place on google map but I don't have the name in handy.
https://goo.gl/maps/cK5kNTZN5R2NTU1h6

The name is:
မြဝတီတိုက် (Mya Wa Di - Nunnery)
Most probably: The learning center for nuns.

I hope David can safely update with this info in the wiki.

Definitely, yes. This looks to be a beautiful one. From their website:
On the advice of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Land of Medicine Buddha (LMB) has been building a 39-foot-tall Mahabodhi Stupa in California for the past six years. This stupa will be the main attraction of the 100,000 Stupa Project in a beautiful garden featuring an area to meditate, thousands of memorial stupas, places to perform prostrations, and areas with spots for reflection and contemplation.
And it's in California, so I'll definitely want to visit when visitors are allowed.

I don't know Mandarin, so had to use google translate. Does it really say "King Kong"

Googled Zhenjue Temple and found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhenjue_Temple
It is not clear how the architectural style of the "Diamond Throne Pagoda" of the Mahabodhi Temple was introduced to China.[7] According to one tradition. the design was presented to the imperial court by the high-ranking Indian monk Pandida during the reign of the Yongle Emperor[3][7] in the early 15th century.[2] Besides the designs for the diamond throne pagoda, the monk is said to have brought with him five golden Buddha statues. According to the legend, these statues are buried in the temple, one under each pagoda.[1] However, references to such design can be found in much older Chinese art and architecture, for example in a mural painting in the Dunhuang Grottoes that has been dated to the Northern dynasties, about 1000 years older than the Zhenjue Temple.[6]

In this case it means 'vajra' - but yes it is the same word as the movie King Kong.

Vajra in Chinese is 金刚, diamond. 金刚 is pronounced "jingang" in the Mandarin dialect, "gumgong" in the Cantonese dialect, "kimkong" in the Minnan Fujian dialect. There are just so many dialects in Chinese and I think that's how the expression "King Kong" came about, based on the somewhat close rendering of the different pronunciations of the various Chinese dialects. I remember watching kung fu movies in the 1990s and many of them will translate the Diamond Palm kung fu technique as "King Kong palm" in the sub titles. I guess Google Translate used the translation of "King Kong" because 金刚 is not so commonly used as a term in normal everyday Chinese apart from Kung Fu movies and Chinese mythology which often involves kung fu.

Some other usages and related to Buddhism. The Diamond Sutra or Vajracchedikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, in Chinese it is commonly know as 金刚经,pronounced as Jingangjing in Mandarin.
A true master of knowledge has passed beyond all that is known and become dispassionate towards all vedanās.

Looks like making replicas of the Mahabodhi temple is a popular merit making activity in Myanmar!
