Please let me know is Sivali often portrayed as holding a fan in Burma ?

Yes, as I know. I used to joke like: "no fan, no Ven. Savali" :smile:

His obvious equipment, imo, include (may not be limited to):
  • fan, staff, alms bowl in sling, sometimes mala-beads & ? a bell

May be, but not noticeably very often. And, I think, generally it's more like sitting rather than riding because elephants sometimes tend to face in different directions, effectively carrying the Buddha to nowhere. :lol:
