This article doesn't give any real information but it may indicate what the government is thinking about for now:

For it is in this fathom-long carcass with its perception and mind that I describe the world, its origin, its cessation and the practice that leads to its cessation.

Api cāhaṃ, āvuso, imasmiṃyeva byāmamatte kaḷevare sasaññimhi samanake lokañca paññāpemi lokasamudayañca lokanirodhañca lokanirodhagāminiñca paṭipadanti.

The end of the world can never
Gamanena na pattabbo,

be reached by traveling.
lokassanto kudācanaṃ;

But without reaching the end of the world,
Na ca appatvā lokantaṃ,

there’s no release from suffering.
dukkhā atthi pamocanaṃ.

So a clever person, understanding the world,
Tasmā have lokavidū sumedho,

has completed the spiritual journey, and gone to the end of the world.
Lokantagū vusitabrahmacariyo;

A peaceful one, knowing the end of the world,
Lokassa antaṃ samitāvi ñatvā,

does not hope for this world or another
Nāsīsatī lokamimaṃ parañcā”ti.

Thailand to allow more foreigners into country from October onwards
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.traveldailymedia.com/thailand-to-let-more-foreign-visitors-in-from-october/amp/ wrote:BANGKOK, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Monday said it will allow more categories of foreigners into the country from October onwards.

The CCSA, chaired by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, has agreed to allow athletes in for tournaments in a supervised area.

The first group will be international cyclists participating in the royal marathon cycling event, announced CCSA.

The CCSA also said that a badminton world tour will be held in January 2021.

Non-immigrant visa holders, such as business people who do not have any type of work permit, are now also allowed entry, but they must show that they have savings of at least 500,000 baht (15,782 U.S. dollars) in the past six months.

Also, Prayut had given the green light for the Special Tourist VISA (STV) scheme to go ahead.

The STV scheme is primarily aimed toward foreign visitors with the intention to stay in Thailand on a long-term basis for nine months.

I wonder if monasteries will function normally when airports in Thailand open.
When I talked to the abbot of Sasanarakkha, ven. Ariyadhammika, he said to me that if I managed to enter Malaysia they would allow me to stay in the monastery as a yogi as long as I wished until ordination was available (next year).
I hope other monasteries be that compassionate. :tongue:

Anyway, I think I'll ordain only in 2021. This covid-19 thing is too volatile and creating expectations is a canker (there is a sutta on this, I think it's "supposition is a cancer" or something...) so I prefer to get familiar with Vinaya and get more diligent with the eight precepts during the next months. Despite I have been following them for some months, I'm still liable to break one single of them in some situations and I disapprove this. :coffee:

Btw, I think the internet is a great break of the seventh precept. Despite this precept has a subjective aspect, I confess I use the internet for entertainment. Otherwise, why would I use this? Using the internet doesn't lead to dispassion, it's not guarding the sense doors, it's not seclusion... All I need is in the suttas anyway, so I have no reason to keep using it...
I'm strongly considering stopping all my internet access except for talking to my mother. I feel so happy and free without using the internet. The internet fosters the hindrance of restlessness and worry and this is terrible.

Yes, I think the internet is toxic. If you have the willpower then stopping would be very beneficial. The problem I find is that when going through negative mental states and emotions it provides an easy route for escapism.
