There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

I took a look at the monastery's Facebook page and saw that the abbot's name is ปุ้ม, which would normally be transliterated Poom or Pum and pronounced /pûm/.

If he likes to spell it Bomb this will probably be an example of the playful romanization of names that Thais often use.

This is great news. Are you going to ordain?

I must say I'm loving this monastery so much, I can't even believe this exists, lol. Feeling very very happy.
Thank you so much, James. I'll always be grateful for you.

Took some pictures before and during pindapata. Hope you enjoy them.

See, Ānanda! All those conditioned phenomena have passed, ceased, and perished. So impermanent are conditions, so unstable are conditions, so unreliable are conditions. This is quite enough for you to become disillusioned, dispassionate, and freed regarding all conditions.

Few people, most people are Thai (only an Israeli samanera who will go back to Nanachat this month), absolutely kind and wise abbot, good food, good kuti, good facilities, not too strict, not a heavy atmosphere, much free time to practice.
I was in Wat Marp Jan this morning and I realized Wat Pah Boon Lorm is a hidden gem, lol. I'm going back there tomorrow. :embarassed:

Sounds good. What tradition is it?

Do you have to do any chores at Wat Pah Boon Lorm? (and yeah, I heard Wat Marp Jan loves their work - not for me, that's what lay life is all about).
