This is the book where ordination candidates start. (in Sri Lanka)

I have been told by a Sri Lankan forest monk that he and most of the forest tradition's teachers recommend this book for the people who waiting for ordination at the monasteries.

It seems to be a Vinaya text. Rules, especially for monks. There are a few people here thinking of becoming monks, so that works. I'm just not one of them.

Not bhikkhu Vinaya but novice monks' training included.
Mainly it is a compendium of important Dhamma points for an ordination candidate in an attractive way.
