Greetings,

Hard to know exactly where the right place is for this as there's no "speculation about monks" section. If you have any suggestions, let us know.

I tried searching for the source, but had a difficult time finding it. A link or a quote would be great, to find the point in context.

Mahāsī Sayādaw U Sobhana 29 July 1904 – 14 August 1982

are you asking is mahasi sayadaw still floating around within 7 lifetimes of sotapanna?
There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

I dont care about monk speculation, I just need explanation for what is cognising nibbana means by disciples of monk who had direct experience so I can understand with faith
