What is the cost of building one hospital bed?

What is the cost of building one hospital bed?

It appears the cost of building one hospital bed is about USD one million dollars (or 1.5 million).
if I assume that a hospital last for 25 years and used 365 days of the year it cost about USD 1000 a day (or USD 1500)!
Then you have to add the cost of running the hospital.
Is there some thing wrong?
Two new hospital buildings are opening this year in Dallas, Texas. Both are big teaching hospitals and cost around $1.5 million per bed to build.

The University of Texas Southwestern hospital (picture below) is over 1.3 million square feet and has 532 beds. It cost $800 million. Parkland Memorial, Dallas County's public hospital, is about 2 million square feet and has 862 beds. It cost $1.3 billion.

The hospital being built in my city in New Zealand is costing about $2.99 million US dollars per bed. It has a 50 years life for this hospital.
Wow they're expensive ay! Must be nice beds.
My bed at home cost me $10 from the used-furniture shop.
