"Gateway" is in-group language for "India," because they think that by making India Christian, it will be a gateway to all of Asia, including Sri Lanka etc.

See 7:05 and onward in the video at this link entitled "2021-05-30 Missions Week 1 with Dr Miriam Charter" for specific substantiation of the "gateway" claim. The see video generally to hear about their plans and the internal narratives they spin about how India is a dangerous and murderous country filled with non-Christians. The sermon that I heard some years ago in-person from this same chuch about Thailand was similarly slanted by the missionary who was visiting.

They have to call India via code because they believe that there could be legal repercussions back in India for this sermon. I think this is just bluster for the congregation, but could the wrong. It is actually rather unpleasant to listen to, sufficiently unpleasant that someone might ask for it to be removed from the forum, and I won't object, but it is certainly a dose of reality as to how these agents operate and the kind of rhetoric that they spread in their communities.

wrong view from christians, wrong fabrication, wrong assumption, wrong result... they can have wrong views but if they use that to physically attack other views or right view members then its a disturbance of peace for right view members... If wrong view not allowed then they cant get footing, so right view practice properly and right view members grow and fill the world.

if Ashoka said Jains go and hindus go out like that then buddhism would have further grown but it is the wrong view hindus and Jains and other invaders responsible for destroying buddhism documents and monuments ...
I may be slow learner but im at least learning...

for instance framing their own religious Christian beliefs as rational and scientific compared to "superstitious" and "religious" Buddhism.
I imagine they try to use the Big Bang a lot.
Yes, but it's a lot dumber than I think you are imagining. They will claim that the Bible is a scientific document with many predictions of future technologies discovered by the West. They will claim that the Bible predicted the big bang, dark matter, and even industrialization and Western market capitalism. They will imply that X society will also get the tech and the $$$, like the West has gotten, if they follow the "scientific document" that got the West to where it is.

Interestingly enough, many Muslim evangelists use the exact same rhetoric, i.e. "The Koran predicts brine pools and quantum physics!"

Yes. It’s a new version of the prophecy argument.

They can't even read their own scripture. The section of the Koran they are talking about depicts this:

The salt water doesn't mix with the fresh water until a ways out to sea.

They are arguing that it depicts this:

...which would have been completely irrelevant to Muhammed's audience. But, hey, "prophecies!"

Quite similar to the Hindu Nationalism currently in India, where muslims are killed for beef eating, or on suspicion that they are selling.

The Sri Lankan Parliament is going to make a new law prohibiting misinterpretation of Tipitaka.

Seven years imprisonment for an incorrect interpretation? That's even harsher than Sutta Central.

Not really.
In Sutta Central, it is life imprisonment.

Well, that's a step in the opposite direction. It's one thing to have a state orthodoxy, that has positive and negative consequences, it's another to ban dissent.
