Why doesn't a human be united as a global citizen?
This seem like a wishful thinking idea. Buddha reduces all the discrimination to one category as Mana (measuring). I just like to explore what is the most significant factor of division. Only one vote allowed but you can change your mind later if you wish. Please discuss your thoughts here. Is it possible to totally eradicate the Mana from all humans? If not how can we make the world a better place for everyone?
Why doesn't a human be united as a global citizen?
Why doesn't a human be united as a global citizen?

Humans are tribal.
It’s a bad idea.
It’s a bad idea.

understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

What is mean by tribal?
Are American and Chinese are two tribes?

No, I just mean people form in groups and out groups and tend to treat the outgroup with suspicion.

Re: Why doesn't a human be united as a global citizen?
IMO the various discriminations at the top of the options are foundationally caused by the built-up stress and social anxiety caused by the disparity at the bottom, which I chose, resource disparity. When peoples fight over resources, then countries fight, and then they need tools to a) dehumanize the aggressor, and b) manage their own anxiety at being attacked.
Once a people has been attacked, they can retreat into a shell of fear and the dehumanization process, a process of arguably necessary othering, can go wild, targetting all sorts of people it ought not for all sorts of paranoid reasons. It all compounds, and from the same instinct of retreating to a "safe community," you get polarized parties willing to believe all sorts of lies about each other, each blaming the other for all manner of thing they don't do and haven't done and don't believe.

What is the Uncreated?
Sublime & free, what is that obscured Eternity?
It is the Undying, the Bright, the Isle.
It is an Ocean, a Secret: Reality.
Both life and oblivion, it is Nirvāṇa.

Thanks Lucas.
I always thought about this and never thought one of the American presidents thought the same way.
Isn't Corona Virus an alien attack on humanity?
Why people are not uniting?
Do you need something bigger to be united?
What if the Coronavirus is as big as a human?

The UK just escaped one globalist Union. I don’t think we are going to jump into bed with another, even bigger one anytime soonSarathW wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 3:53 am Thanks Lucas.

But within the UK alone have so many divisions.
This apply to any other country too.

Because the nature of reality is diversity.

No, Hostility = Ignorance. Ignorance is not the nature of reality.

Re: Why doesn't a human be united as a global citizen?
None of the above.
I think humans don't wish to be united globally because for the most part they perceive allegiance to their nation as being, on balance, a good thing. And I think they're probably right to perceive it so.

"... mankind inevitably organizes itself in communities according to its geographical distribution; these communities by sharing a common history develop common characteristics and inspire a local loyalty; the individual family develops most happily and fully when it accepts these natural limits."
