Risk of taking vaccine jab

Re: Risk of taking vaccine jab

Had my Pfizer booster earlier today. No problems other than a slight ache at the injection site, rather like a typhoid jab.

If I suddenly stop posting, fear the worst!

What are the Covid variants and will vaccines still work?

....

But this new variant, called B.1.1.529 or Omicron, has experts particularly worried because it is very different to the original Covid, which current vaccines were designed to fight.
No worries actually. The new variant appears to be a sign that the pandemic is ending: a variant that is highly transmittable, but has mild symptoms.

I actually know (indirectly) a few people who died after the first jab.

To "do the maths" you've got to deny neither:

- the risks
- the benefits
- alternative treatments

Even if people could get easy access to all of the above information, they'd have to be non-partisan enough to have the integrity to evaluate them properly in a non-partisan manner.

What sounds simple on face value, is inordinately complicated. Hence a topic addressing the first of those things...

I don't agree. The maths is relatively straightforward, the problem is that people can't cope with what it means for them.

Greetings,

:focus:

This topic is about the risks of being vaccinated... if you wish to discuss the benefits, that's another topic.

:thanks:

Actually we can't do the maths based on the report of vaccine companies, because....
Company That Managed Pfizer Vaccine Trial Sites ‘Falsified Data’: Whistleblower
  • Ventavia, a subcontractor for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine phase 3 clinical trial, allegedly falsified data, unblinded patients and was slow to follow up on adverse events.
  • Brook Jackson reportedly brought these problems up with her superiors – but was fired shortly after she emailed a complaint to the US Food and Drug Administration.
  • The FDA didn’t follow up on Jackson’s complaint – and Pfizer, which has known of the problems at Ventavia, has hired the company for four more trials.

So, how risky is it actually? I can't say, but perhaps you can take this as a guide:
'What Percent Of CDC Employees Are Vaccinated_'_ Cassidy Grills Walensky At Senate Hearing

It seems not many American CDC employees have take the jab.

Many lives have been saved. Do the maths.
Lives cannot be compared . Lives and maths are two different dimension . For majority of peoples they dont want to risk their own lives . Ceo of Pfizer didnt take the jabs why ?
Now , those already taken both jabs whom got the virus are acting as a medium for transmitting to others .

One should admit that Pascal's Wager seems to be a persistent feature when it comes to evaluating risks of taking the vaccine jab or not. There is the risk of being condemned by the mob which would haunt some if they do not take "experts advise" at face value and proved to be wrong (while the opposite is not true). The media made sure of it, and deathbed stories of people who were "skeptics" about the efficacy of the vaccine dying with regret were not uncommon in the media.
And the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus, saying: "Behold now, bhikkhus, I exhort you: All compounded things are subject to vanish. Strive with earnestness!"

This was the last word of the Tathagata.
