Yes, it's best to avoid taking medicine if there is safer way. For the elderly especially, and for most of us wishing to help put an end to this pandemic, vaccines is the safer way than catching COVID, based on all we know so far. If some weird side effects emerge after a while, that can change the entire discussion. It is, however, very unlikely, given how many people have had it already. We are also in a Public Health emergency with hospitals at capacity or beyond, with people receive suboptimal treatment and others not getting the surgeries they need. So there is that.

So you think covid vaccines do long-term damage? Like what, exactly?

Medical trials always involve the government for oversight and independent panels. If data has been fudged it can’t be hidden for long. This is what makes medical science so robust, and why alternative medicine is always rejected as being nothing more than a placebo effect.
I think you need to fact-check that.
Which bit?
Come to think of it, all bits:
1. Medical trials always involve the government for oversight and independent panels.
2. If data has been fudged it can’t be hidden for long.
2. This is (what makes medical science so robust, and) why alternative medicine is always rejected as being nothing more than a placebo effect.

Good and evil have no fixed form. It's as easy to turn from doing bad to doing good as it is to flip over the hand from the back to the palm. It's simply up to us to do it. Master Hsuan Hua.

Even accepting the claim that the spike protein is dangerous, an infection is bound to produce a lot more of it than the vaccine, right? Then why not take the lesser of the two evils, given than one is bound to be infected sooner or later?

Ah, OK. On the basis of what?

This article and many like it point to the opposite:

Interesting point about the vaccine just staying in the arm muscle where it's injected, I didn't know that.
