Post by mario92 »

Namaste buddha is considered like a stupa or sacred image, is it bad to sell the buddha statue or image? Is it Like selling dhamma?

How do you expect to be able to buy images of Buddha if no one will sell them? Just be sure to set an honest price. Be fair.

No.
Buddha's image is no different from any other image except the value we give it ourselves.
For instance, a non-Buddhist consider Buddha's image as just an ornament.

Interestingly in Thai the word "Buy" is not used with Buddha images.

Like if you have had the statue really blessed then shouldn't sell it.

Generally people will buy a statue and then later do the prayers to 'turn it on it'. After it has been 'turned on' then it shouldn't be sold.
