Are there any procedures for corrupted sanghas?

Buddhist ethical conduct including the Five Precepts (Pañcasikkhāpada), and Eightfold Ethical Conduct (Aṭṭhasīla).

Are there any procedures for corrupted sanghas?

Post by S. Johann »

was asked by a member near a Sangha here, possible heading toward the first step by concern, to be able to come out of this hole.

As there are procedures for if a whole Sangha has fallen into (even grave) transgressions, and possible to solve, if able to find a Sangha of 20 pure members, not the same fault, as long not all had fallen into it. Good if quick and proper helping here out, if having knowledge, certain relation to help.

Kamma for it is found within the Mahavagga, yet maybe the smallest "problem" here. "Now at this time a whole Sangha has fallen into a transgression..."

May foremost, if the are Venerables here, free from likewise transgression, or knowing those free of it, out of compassion, try to give ways.

But it's also the duty of disciples and those nourishing on them, to do an effort, seek out for help, at least have the thought "may my teacher conduct proper, may the Sangha have compassion... that he soon will be clean again."

Improper gained, if not already even parajica already yet, can be solved within the Nissaggiya Pācittiya, if finding those not having fallen into, abound toward the Sangha and confess.
As in regard of corrupt livelihood, improper relation with lay people, Novices, Nuns..., making living on giving fewer, trade with affection, siding, engaging in politic and services outside the Sangha, even while using money, a matter on Sanghadisea, even harder, but possible.
You may make use of this account as wished for good, it's a cast off one. Password: 12345678. As the good stuff gets usually censured here, good if being quick to find ways out.
