Censorship

Post by thepea »

Twitter chief Jack Dorsey recently wrote about a 10-day silent Vipassana programme he had attended on his birthday at Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar. Elaborating on his experience with the 2,500-year-old meditation form,

How can someone who has received dhamma run a corporation that censors an entire party of honest hard working people who speak their minds.

I am not questioning Vipassana but just what is going on within these centres.
Mr G left clear instructions, do not manipulate the dhamma, push play on the video and stand down.

To me it is logical that nobody within this organization was at the level to teach as mr G did. But in one year they have managed to destroy all that he built.

Mara breached the inner circle, and corrupted the seed.
What we have now must be abandoned.

Convince me I’m wrong?

You haven't convinced me this is a valid Vipassana / Satipatthana topic.

Please reframe it as a new topic to focus on the (de-)evolution of the Goenka lineage, post-Goenka (without all the extraneous censorship stuff), or take it to Dhamma Wheel Engaged.

:thanks:

Metta,
Paul. :)
