Three and a half years old (appears to me ten years old!) Sri Lankan child talk about Dependent origination.
Even if this is the teaching by her parents, it is impossible to comprehend how she grasps the teaching.
She says the ideas come to her naturally.
At this stage, I have no reason to doubt her as I still can learn from her!
I am very skeptical, but this is one of the incredible things.
Video in the Sinhalese language.

Re: Ten years old Sri Lankan child talk about Dependent origination.
I image it was inevitable, if she was reincarnated, it was due to having wrong view about dependent origination and thus will continue to be reincarnated again, if this occurs, by engaging in the same misinformed actions. Otherwise, a bad monk transgressing the Vinaya is brainwashing her with thought messages into her sensitive brain.
There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

Re: Three and half years old Sri Lankan child talk about Dependent origination.
I have to be fair to this child.
I can't explain what he techers.
Actually, she is not teaching DO.
She is teaching:
Idappaccayatā (Pali, also idappaccayata; Sanskrit: idaṃpratyayatā) is a Buddhist term that is translated as "specific conditionality" or "this/that conditionality". It refers to the principle of causality–that all things arise and exist due to certain causes (or conditions), and cease once these causes (or conditions) are removed. This principle is expressed in the following simple formula that is repeated hundreds of times in the Buddhist discourses:
When this is, that is.
From the arising of this comes the arising of that.
When this isn't, that isn't.
From the cessation of this comes the cessation of that.
Idappaccayatā (specific conditionality), as expressed in the above formula, is identified as a key expression of the doctrine of pratītyasamutpāda (dependent origination).

If this knowledge comes from her previous birth, why she could not attain Nibbana.
Perhaps she was someone like me.
Had the knowledge but not the wisdom.

I think I post her video already in this forum but I think even knowing dependent origination, there can still be rebirth as sotapanna also know dependent origination but still reborn in devas and humans..SarathW wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 8:55 amYour argument is valid.DooDoot wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 8:37 amI image it was inevitable, if she was reincarnated, it was due to having wrong view about dependent origination and thus will continue to be reincarnated again, if this occurs, by engaging in the same misinformed actions. She is talking about the news reading robots. She thinks that we are also like robots. She says everything is Maya (illusion) and empty.confusedlayman wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 10:15 amI dont.. r they speaking of robots at end?SarathW wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 10:09 amCan you understand Sinhala?confusedlayman wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 9:55 am

Re: Three and half years old Sri Lankan child talk about Dependent origination.
She is talking about 31 types of consciousness.
Five aggregate (5) multiply by six senses (6) = 30
Plus another one.
Can someone give the sutta reference?

Wrong knowledge is not wisdom. Maybe she had enough morals to avoid a rebirth in hell for slandering the Dhamma.

Re: Ten years old Sri Lankan child talk about Dependent origination.
Do you know these 31 types of consciousness?
Could you give me the reference?
By the way, for me, it is not different to listen to any other monk or a lay Dhamma teacher.

Wisdom is not ideas not taught by the Lord Buddha. Why would i "know" such useless ideas?

Just forget the wisdom for a moment.
I am looking for some Sutta reference.

Re: Three and half years old Sri Lankan child talk about Dependent origination.
The other consciousness would be consciousness of Nibbana. This said, five aggregate (5) multiply by six senses (6) sounds strange. Maybe it is in Digha Nikaya.
No. The doctrine of pratītyasamutpāda (dependent origination) is an expression of Idappaccayatā (specific conditionality). It seems you are as confused as the little girl but, then, the girl is only 3 years old.SarathW wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 8:49 am Idappaccayatā (specific conditionality), as expressed in the above formula, is identified as a key expression of the doctrine of pratītyasamutpāda (dependent origination).
