Sam Vara is stepping down as moderator

Post by retrofuturist »

Greetings,

Sam Vara has decided to step down from the moderator role today, after having served the Dhamma Wheel community well in this role over the past 12 months.

I would like to publicly thank him for that contribution.

Thank you for your service Sam!

Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Yes, Sam, many thanks for your contribution.

Although this probably will remain similarly, for the time you were a moderator, you were calm, nuanced and effective at your role. You dedicated many hours to maintain and make DhammaWheel what it is.

Thanks and hats off to you!

Sam,

You danced well on that line between moderator and regular member, contributing while refraining from the power trips that entice those who are given the opportunity to take them.

Sam

I think I am not mistaken to say that the whole DW community appreciates your selfless service which you have offered to us over the last 12 months. Having taken on the responsibility of being a moderator involves quite some work. You have done it in a beautiful polite, respectful, considerate and composed way. Sadhu!
