Announcing a change of staff on the DW moderating team

Post by retrofuturist »

Greetings all,

A couple of announcements...

Firstly, mikenz66 will be standing down as a moderator. Mike joined the Dhamma Wheel staff in 2010 in charge of the Study Group forum. Soon after, he joined the team as a Global Moderator and has been a regular contributor to the forum ever since. I would like to thank him for his service, and for patiently staying on board whilst we have waited for his replacement to become available...

On that note, now that vassa is over, I would also like to thank venerable Dhammanando for accepting an offer to the return to the moderator team once more. For those who don't know, Venerable Dhammanando has intermittently been a Dhamma Wheel moderator, since the early days of Dhamma Wheel as time and circumstances have permitted. I am very pleased to welcome him back on board, and thank him for his assistance.

Please join me in thanking these two fine gentlemen for their service to this forum.

Metta,
Paul. :)

I think Mike's departure is a loss to the Team, but perhaps it enables him to participate more.

Thankyou Mikenz, you've been an excellent moderator. Heavy water definitely, perhaps even graphite.

Mike is really a Kalyana Mitta not to mention Ven. Dhammanando.
He inspired me to read Sutta in early stages of my stay in DW.
The days I did not know that there is something called Sutta. :D
I am sure he still will be in Dhamma Wheel as a friend.

Thank you Ven. Dhammanando for accepting this job again. :anjali:

Yes, and I know he's looking forward to being a "normal member" once more, after all this time.

Thanks everyone! At the moment I'm travelling (currently in Paris), so I have not been reading the forum very much. Looking forward to more participation next month.

I was delighted when Bhikkhu Dhammanando agreed to return as a moderator. I very much appreciate his deep knowledge of Pali, Sutta, Vinaya, Abhidhamma, Commentary, and monastic life.

Thanks to both Mike and Ven Dhammanando for their generosity and for the gift of Dhamma :anjali:
And the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus, saying: "Behold now, bhikkhus, I exhort you: All compounded things are subject to vanish. Strive with earnestness!"

This was the last word of the Tathagata.
