Sam Vara returns as a moderator

Post by retrofuturist »

Greetings all,

As you may have noticed, it's been pretty busy around these parts lately, with a lots of interesting conversations about the Dhamma taking place.

Therefore, I'm very pleased to announced that Sam Vara has elected to return to the moderation team after a period of absence. Please join me in welcoming Sam Vara back to this position, where I'm sure he'll do a great job, just like last time.

:thanks:

Metta,
Paul. :)

There is always an official executioner. If you try to take his place, It is like trying to be a master carpenter and cutting wood. If you try to cut wood like a master carpenter, you will only hurt your hand.

btw, may I know what the blue color means for Mike & SDC, & Khalil Bodhi . I think, Mike is a staff member but SDC is not anymore (although recently conducting the study group). They are in blue while Admins are red, and Global Mods are green.

Greetings SDA,

The blue "founding member" designation applies to former staff members who were pivotal in the early days of the forum, and who helped get the forum up and running. Not all founding members want the formal designation, so they can opt out of this recognition if they so choose.

No "blue" members are current moderators although SDC does have some limited moderator functionality to help him manage the Study Group.

Paul. :)

Thank you :anjali:
