Happy new year!
Did you know 2015 is the year of right effort?
Well, at least for me it is.
Each year I have been focusing on a particular aspect of the eightfold path. Last year I worked on right speech. It was great. Of course, not perfect. This year I am working on right effort. It fits as I am in graduate school, which is very stressful, and is conducive to a lot of negative thinking ("I'm not cut out for this") imposter syndrome ("I'm not sure they should have let me in the program..") and general whining ("it's haaard!").
I am looking to see if there's a nice reminder I can put on my desktop. Googling gives a few results:
Pretty basic:

I really like the visualization of it here:

Does anybody have anything? Or if you are into making these things, that would be wonderful too.
Regards,

Have you seen Jet Li's Fearless? There is a scene where his character is helping work in the rice firlds. He learns an important lesson about right effort. It might not be the best image but I would use a still from that scene, if I could find one.
Here is a link to his character being awfully contemplative:

Hello Dave,

And good luck with the right effort! It may not be easy but it’s worth the effort.

Yes, there is no doubt that the second image is best. My advice is that the mottos should be superimposed on the cover of the fiftieth anniversary edition of Atlas Shrugged. Then install it in an Ayn Rand altar. There is a picture of one here...meindzai wrote:I really like the visualization of it here:

I think this one could be good (even though the man on the right looks Jesus-y):
