Niddesa, Apadana and Petakopadesa. When translation?

Post by khemindas »

As already everyone know, whole tipitaka is translated except these three books of khuddaka nikaya. So is there any chance that these three books will be translated, and we will get whole tipitaka in english?

I don't know about the plans of the PTS, but you can find some unedited manuscripts of the Apadāna Commentary here:

I was mistaken about Petakopadesa, it is translated, but can't find any digital edition in internet.

I'm not sure where you get that impression. Sutta Central now contains, or links to, much more material than Access to Insight. It includes many of Bhikkhu Bodhi's translations of the MN, SN, and AN, as well as a number of other translations of Pali texts and of the Chinese Agamas. The built-in dictionaries may be used on on the Pali and Chinese texts to make some sense of the Pali and Chinese texts, which can be useful for clarification.

Unfortunately, it does no better than other sites on the particular texts mentioned in the OP. If you find legal internet editions, I'm sure they would be happy to link to them.

That's a blog, not Sutta Central, which has a discussion forum here: https://discourse.suttacentral.net/.

For announcements and discussion on technicalities of the site see: https://discourse.suttacentral.net/c/meta.

Did anyone know about Barua version of Petakopadesa(Pitaka disclosure) in PTS, did it translation, same like Nanamoli, or it is original Pali text?

It's the romanised Pali edition. Ñāṇamoli's Piṭaka Disclosure is the only published translation.

In whatever way they conceive it,
It turns out otherwise.

Congratulations, Apadana and Petakopadesa are already translated in english. So only Niddesa remain. When Niddesa will be translated, whole Tipitaka will be avaliable in english.
